Founder Guðmundur Ingimarsson, known simply as "Gummi," has spent more than 20 years guiding travelers through Iceland’s dramatic terrain — from its rugged highlands and majestic glaciers to its remote interior and scenic coastal routes. Prior to founding his own company, Gummi worked with many of Iceland’s largest and most respected tour operators, gaining extensive expertise as both a certified guide and a modified vehicle driver.

With deep local knowledge, a passion for storytelling, and a strong commitment to safety and comfort, Gummi the Guide specializes in private, small-group tours that focus on authenticity, flexibility, and unforgettable experiences.
